Jay Weinberg Leaves Suicidal Tendencies

Jay Weinberg leaves Suicidal Tendencies

Today I came across the news that Jay Weinberg has left Suicidal Tendencies, closing a short but high-profile chapter with the band.

Both Lambgoat and Impericon picked up the story from Weinberg’s own message, where he described the split in calm terms and pointed to “an exciting and busy 2026” ahead, tied to a major personal change in his life.

This is the kind of band news that lands fast without needing drama.

Jay Weinberg is not a name that moves quietly, and Suicidal Tendencies are not a band where a lineup change feels small.

Even if the run was not especially long, it still carried weight because of who was involved.

What gives this one a different tone is that it was not framed like a blow-up or a messy split.

The message came across as respectful, forward-looking, and very much about one chapter ending while another one starts.

That alone gives the story more shape than the usual revolving-door lineup update.

For now, the real headline is simple: Jay Weinberg is out of Suicidal Tendencies, and 2026 already sounds like it has something else waiting for him.
