Dark Stage Project Goes to ROCKHARZ 2026!
ROCKHARZ 2026 Accreditation
Dark Stage Project has officially received ROCKHARZ 2026 accreditation, and we are incredibly proud to announce that we will be on site this July covering the festival through photography and editorial reporting.
This is a big one for us.
Being accredited to work at ROCKHARZ 2026 is exactly the kind of opportunity that gives shape, direction, and momentum to what Dark Stage Project is building.
We are extremely excited, deeply grateful, and fully ready to be there with cameras in hand, documenting one of Germany’s most important metal festivals from inside the grounds.

What ROCKHARZ 2026 Accreditation Means for Dark Stage Project
For Dark Stage Project, this ROCKHARZ 2026 accreditation means more than access.
It means trust. It means the chance to work on site as a media platform and to cover the festival with the seriousness, energy, and visual attention it deserves.
Our focus will be photographic coverage: the scale of the festival, the atmosphere around the stages, the movement of the crowd, the visual identity of the grounds, and the details that make a major festival feel alive long before and long after a band steps on stage.
That is exactly the kind of work we want to do more of, and exactly the kind of place where we want to do it.
ROCKHARZ 2026 Will Bring More Than 25,000 Fans to Ballenstedt
From July 1 to 4, 2026, the 33rd edition of ROCKHARZ will take place at the foot of the Teufelsmauer, on the Ballenstedt airfield.
Founded in 1993, the festival has grown into one of the most important metal festivals in Germany and the largest music event in the Harz region.
More than 25,000 guests are expected for this year’s edition, with around 60 top acts performing across two equivalent alternating stages with no schedule overlap between bands.
That format alone makes the event especially attractive to cover.
It allows the festival to breathe. It gives the audience more room to really experience each set, and it gives media the possibility to follow the day with more continuity instead of constantly choosing between overlapping performances.
ROCKHARZ 2026 Sold Out at Record Speed
The scale of this edition is also reflected in demand.
According to the official press information, ROCKHARZ 2026 sold out faster than ever before in the festival’s history, and faster than any other festival in Germany this year.
Just three days after presale opened in July 2025, the organizers announced that the festival tickets, including camping, were already completely sold out.
That kind of momentum says a lot. This is not a festival coasting on routine.
This is a festival arriving in 2026 with real weight behind it.

A Lineup Built for a Serious Festival Weekend
The official festival press information describes the 2026 bill as a varied mix of international names from different subgenres and musical backgrounds, and the lineup reflects exactly that.
Artists such as Helloween, Alice Cooper, Kreator, Feuerschwanz, Black Label Society, Airbourne, Avatar, Paradise Lost, Hämatom, and P.O.D. are part of a bill that promises another high-level festival experience.
What makes that especially exciting from our side is not only the size of the names, but the visual and editorial range they bring with them. ROCKHARZ 2026 is the kind of lineup that gives a photography platform a lot to work with: classic metal authority, theatrical presence, large-scale crowd moments, and the full atmosphere of a sold-out summer festival.
Dark Stage Project Will Cover ROCKHARZ 2026 Through Photography
Our plan is simple: to be there, to work hard, and to capture the festival properly.
Dark Stage Project will cover ROCKHARZ 2026 through photography, focusing on the energy of the performances, the atmosphere of the site, and the wider visual character of the event.
Some festivals are only about names on a poster. Others create something larger through place, movement, and community. ROCKHARZ clearly belongs in the second category, and that makes this accreditation feel even more meaningful to us.
We are proud to have the chance to cover it.
We are proud to bring Dark Stage Project there.
And we are extremely excited to see what this year’s edition looks and feels like from the inside.
See you at the Devil’s Wall.
